I enjoy going to the Renaissance Festival every year around my birthday. Our family stays at a bed and breakfast near the festival grounds, and we dress up in our whimsical outfits and delve into history and fantasy. The experiences ignites my imaginative nature.
There is a throne on the grounds that allows people to be “Lord” or “Lady” of the manor. The throne is a large prop, allowing families and groups to gather for a photo.
I posted the above photo and my Facebook account, and I received a comment that I value so much because it is eternally minded.
Just goes to show, ‘we’ can’t fill the throne, only Christ can!” – Linda Goldfarb
Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the call of my life. It seems too big, too heavy and too hard for me to achieve. There is so much to do, and my efforts feel like they fall short. I try to be strong, but everywhere I turn there are literal and metaphorical typos. Constant reminders that I am not perfect.
I get tired of trying to fill a level of glory I am not called to fill. God gives us big dreams, knowing we are too small to encompass them. That space around us is for Jesus to fill. We simply make the room.We can be comfortable with our lack, knowing that Christ will pour into it like an unlimited spring. Click To Tweet
We don’t have to be enough because Jesus is. He fills all the space of everything with Himself. So make room for Him. Sit in your promises and allow the glory of the Lord to fall into the emptiness.
“God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself” (Ephesians 1.22-23 NLT).
