“O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures” (Psalm 104.24 NLT)
In Psalm 104, God is organizing and defining all of creation. He’s telling the waters where to stay. He’s bringing forth the mountains and trees. He’s setting the moon and sun to mark the seasons. He’s creating order, so life can have peace and abundance. So many people want peace and abundance in the world, but we struggle with allowing God to create order in our own lives.God has His best design for us that will promote peace and abundance, but we have to let Him in, let Him work and let Him lead. His parameters for us are for our good, wellbeing and purpose. They are not to limit us; they are to empower us. Jesus is the mouthpiece of God to us. He has already perfected us through His grace, but we need to work that perfection into our daily thoughts, decisions and actions. We can allow Him to organize our lives one day at a time. Even when it doesn’t make sense now, we can trust that eventually we will see the masterpiece He is creating. If Jesus can organize the world and all its intricate systems, He can organize our lives and all of the details that fill our days.
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him” (Colossians 1.16 NIV).
