Boldly to the Throne
“Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth” (Revelation 5.6 NLT).
The “Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered,” is Jesus Christ Who died for our sins and resurrected for our reconciliation back to God. The Lamb of God came to earth, claimed victory over death and busted down heaven’s doors for all His brothers and sisters to enter into the holy Throne Room of God. Our faith sweeps us along in the wake of Jesus’ grace, and we enter a perfect Heaven and the awesome, powerful presence of God the Father. It is only by the Pierced Lamb alone that we gain access to the Throne Room. If our confidence is in our works or in our perfection, we never fully ascertain the full power of God in our lives via His grace. We can walk boldly into the Throne Room and God’s presence because we carry the Pierced Lamb of God in our hearts and souls. Jesus is our confidence. He is our boldness. Grace is our access point, and we can make our requests know to God, rejoicing that He hears us because we have been made perfect and holy through Jesus’ Finished Work on the Cross.
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most” (Hebrews 4.16 NLT).
