“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1.7 NIV).
The forgiveness of Jesus creates an awe in you when you fully realize how powerful and all-encompassing it is. We have been forgiven completely and irrevocably. No matter our tattered souls and bodies. No matter our corrupted minds and thoughts. We can set all that on the Cross and embrace fully the righteousness of Christ. We are righteous. We are holy. We are pure. We are whole. We are perfected in Christ. If we could only focus on that truth, and allow the Work of the Holy Spirit to deal with the rest, what peace and joy and contentment we could claim every single moment of our lives. His forgiveness is continuous, like a spring of healing water lapping over our wounded soul. The proof of His forgiveness in our lives is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit—God’s Spirit—is in us. This intimacy would be impossible if sin were separating us from God. The righteousness is there in the supernatural, so now it is time to work that righteousness into every area of our natural lives. Our soul is getting healed. Our mind is getting healed. Our strength is getting healed. And our body is getting healed. All this this healing is a response to the forgiveness of sin and the righteous we now own through Jesus Christ.
“God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin” (1 Corinthians 1.30 NLT).
