“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2.10 NLT).
God has a plan. We don’t live on an accidental earth with no purpose. We have meaning, which is probably one of the best ways to attract unbelievers to God. Living a life void of purpose is hopeless. No matter how hard we work, our efforts will perish when we do. We may be able to influence the next generation, but eventually they too will perish. Without God and His Kingdom being established on this earth, life would be merely a coincidence. People would lose hope and fall into depression, or they would compensate by distracting themselves with pleasures, drugs, relationships, things and experiences until the day they die. Jesus literally is hope on earth. He bridges the gap between heaven and earth, so that we can have God’s Spirit in our lives and throughout our days. God is infinitely creative. He created us, renewed us through Jesus and has good things planned for us. As we grow in the amazing knowledge of God’s plan for our lives, people will begin to notice. They will see that we have a hope that is beyond this world. A hope that when our 70+ years on earth are over that we will live eternally in the presence of our Creator God. We can share this hope with others, so they too can recognize that they are masterpieces of God created to do amazing things for His Kingdom!
“For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance” (Romans 8.24-25 NKJV).
