“This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead” (Galatians 1.1 NLT).
So many times we wait for a person, a church, a business or an audience to appoint us. We desire the creditability of a title or a position for our hard work. We don’t want to sacrifice or put forth the effort if there aren’t people watching, handing out credit, accolades and money. The King of the Universe has appointed us, but because there is no validation from people, we disobey a direct call of God. Paul knew what it meant to be appointed by God alone. God had declared him an apostle to the gentiles, and he didn’t need a church leader or public figure to declare him so. Paul stated over and over again his position as an apostle. He knew in his heart that God had appointed him, and he didn’t need verification from anyone else. He boldly walked in his calling, changing the entire world for Christ and freeing nations from the bondage of sin with the Good News of Jesus. Yes, it is nice to be recognized by others, but they can’t see the full picture of what God is doing. People may not recognize that God is bringing forth something new in your life. We must learn to walk in the confidence of God’s appointment for our purpose, not allowing the titles of this world to throw us off. If God says it is so, it is so. If can says you can, you can. If God says you will, you will. Never let the thoughts, words and actions of others to derail the call of God on your life. Place His appointment above the accolades of the world, and you will fulfill your destiny in power and grace!
“This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News” (Romans 1.1 NLT).
