Alisa has earned her B.A. Degree in English from Texas A & M — Corpus Christi and her M.A. Degree in English Applied Linguistics from the University of Houston. She has taught English to all age groups. She has ten years of writing/editing experience and five years of ministry experience. In 2011, she appeared on CMT MADE, a reality TV show that transformed her from a Christian writer to a MMA fighter.
Alisa has been married for fourteen years to her high school sweetheart, and they enjoy raising their three vivacious children.
Alisa is the chief editor of the Granola Bar Devotional Writing Ministry and Sanctified Together Online Publication and is always looking for new ways to help people share their faith story. Alisa has published devotionals, articles, short stories, poetry and e-books; and she is continuously trying to reach people for Christ with her writing. She has written her first novel, Eve of Awakening. She has a God-given passion to write, and she loves to write about what the Holy Spirit is teaching her.
Alisa and her family attend Bay Area Fellowship Church where she has served in women’s ministry for five years. She has had the privilege to disciple many women into a closer relationship with Christ. She and her husband have enjoyed being small group leaders, strengthening the Body of Christ at their church.
She is currently co-writing 2 pocket prayer books for Publications International, Ltd being published TBA.
She has published in God Makes Lemonade.
