I hold in my hands an unending serving of free-will — a special gift from my Creator, my unique Key to the Kingdom of Heaven. I ponder my talents, my passion and my purpose, wondering how I can best live out my slice of history. I’m captivated by the imagination, the seed of creation. God created all life with His imagination, and He designed us in His image. We have been given a powerful tool, but we seldom know how to use it. My blog is my effort to understand this gift and to use it to glorify God.
“And the man said to me, Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears and set your heart and mind on all that I will show you, for you are brought here that I may show them to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel” (Ezekiel 40.4 AMP).
I crave the presense of my Creator, and I want to declare all that I discover. In Him, I find complete peace, hope, love and joy. He shows me the glories of His imagination, and I desire to share what I learn with others. The beauty of the world diminishes under the light of His majesty, and we miss out on so much when our eyes leave His throne. God is my portion, and I’m determined to make time to drink daily from His abundance. The things of this world may try to distract me from His presence, but I trust that God will provide a way to seek Him first.
On my own, I’m separated from my Creator. Free-will is a blessing, but it is also a curse. Many of my choices are not beautiful; therefore, I’m imperfect and can no longer stay connected to my perfect God. God knew that my free-will would empower me to create, but He also knew it would tempt me to sin. So God, using His divine imagination, created a redemption plan by sending Himself to this earth in a form known as Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of Grace, Jesus lived a perfect life then died on a cross for my sins. Because of Faith, I’m covered in the righteousness of Jesus, and I stand perfect and sinless before a Holy God. The most precious universal mystery occurs when God’s grace touches my faith – I am redeemed!
Moreover, because of God’s love for me, He sends Himself to dwell inside my perfected spirit in a form known as the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads and guides me, transforming me from glory to glory into the image of my Creator. Also, God has given me His Holy Word, the Bible. In years past, the Holy Spirit breathed His Words to God’s children, and they wrote them down to share with us today. The living aspect of the Bible is locked to those who do not have the Holy Spirit. They can only read History, but the redeemed have access to Life.
I kneel before a God who interacts with me as my Creator, Savior and Counselor. I’m in awe of all the creative methods He uses to bring me into a relationship with Him. God’s imagination inspires me, and I only hope that I can use my gift to amaze Him.
