Kingdom of God
“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17.20-21 NKJV).
Sometimes we are waiting for an outside situation to create an inside breakthrough, but it is the other way around. It is our faith, pouring out of a heart of belief, that alters our circumstances. Jesus explained that the Kingdom of God—God’s subtle and explosive movements, are inside each of us. If we want God to move in our lives powerfully, the seed of change is in our hearts and on our lips. God’s best promises and His ultimate plan are available to us, but we must use our free will yoked to the heart of God to activate them. If we are crying out to God to change our lives, we must first allow Him to change our hearts. The Kingdom of God is unleashed from the Holy Spirit that resides in each person who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. That seed of salvation grows out of a spirit watered by God. This seed then sprouts and stretches to touch the lives and circumstances that surround us.
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow” (1 Corinthians 3.6 NIV).
