Jesus is the River of Living Water, and He pours His Spirit into the Four Rivers found in the Garden of Eden, bringing life-giving energy to the paradise God created for us. The Enemy tried to steal our inheritance; but before time began, God bought us back on the Sabbath with the Tree of Life, Jesus, the payment for our sins (Galatians 3:13-15).
These Four Rivers are not only available to us, but they are rightly ours today through the Redemption of the Cross. We are Children of God. We are co-heirs with Christ. Because of God’s great grace extended through the Finished Work of Jesus, our lives on the supernatural level are the wellsprings of Eden–life, joy, peace and oneness with the Father. Our faith taps into the continual supply of these Streams, and we have everything we need to live in perfect unison with God (2 Peter 1.3).
- The Pishon River means INCREASE. We are not in lack. God is supplying us daily with His increasing anointing (gifts, talents, resources, relationships, wisdom, strength, power, energy, healing, wholeness, etc.), and our blessings multiply as we seek Him and connect to His Spirit.
- The Gihon River means BURSTING FORTH. God is giving us breakthroughs of His favor and grace. He abundantly provides to overflowing as we walk in obedience, so our blessings spill over onto those around us.
- The Tigris River means RAPID. God’s movements are powerful and constant. He is never stagnant, and His Holy current is flowing forcefully in our lives. The Enemy cannot stand up to God’s unstoppable plan.
- The Euphrates means FRUITFULNESS. The Living Water of God’s Spirit prospers every detail of our lives submitted to Him. We can have His fruit in our hearts, lives, families, relationships, careers and ministries. Though the fruit may tarry for a bit in the natural, they are growing and pressing through the supernatural.
Claim these Four Rivers in your life everyday. Imagine them feeding your spirit with all that God wants to provide and do!
“Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden. And from there it divided and became four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon. It flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. The gold of that land is good. Bdellium and onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon. It flows around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Tigris. It flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates” (Genesis 2.10-14 NLV) (emphasis added).
