Jesus the Word
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1.1 NIV).
A “word” is a supernatural thought that is made into existence by the one who professes it. John declares in his Gospel that Jesus is the Word. He is the supernatural thought of God manifested into our earthly reality. And before God spoke our world into existence, He made sure that Jesus would be His Mouthpiece. Jesus, the Word, was with God, and He is the part of God who ushered our Creator God’s thoughts into existence. Only through Jesus would the redemption plan of all creation be fulfilled. God made us in His image and gave us free will to create using our words and the actions that promote them. Our actions will always be in direct relation with our thoughts—the original seed of our words. What words are we thinking today? What thoughts are we going to usher into our own life. We have the ability with our free will to choose good thoughts of hope or evil thoughts of despair. The choice is ours. No matter our circumstance or the actions of others, we can funnel every word that we think, speak and enact out through the Mouthpiece of God, which is Jesus Christ.
“A man’s life will be of the character of his thought. His outward life will be as the inner impulse is.” – John G. Lake
