“And I will make the lame a remnant, and those who were cast off a strong nation; and the Lord shall reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and forever” (Micah 4.7 AMP)
A cast-off is someone who has been thrown away, devalued or seen as useless. All Christian have or will experience being a cast-off in the world’s eyes (even in Christian circles) as they walk the path to their destiny. God loves the underdog, and He loves seeing His children circumvent the world’s system to greatness. When God honors us outside of the world’s carefully structured expectations, it shines His glory, not ours. When we choose to walk the humble road with Jesus, God is able to use our faith in Him to propel us further than we could ever think or imagine. The Holy Spirit will lead each of us in a direction that is counter-culture and doesn’t make sense to a human perspective. However, our obedience shows that we rely on God more than we rely on the world, and it gives God complete control to work in our lives in ways beyond our comprehension. We simply need to realize they being a cast-off is part of God’s plan to achieve His eternal greatness in our lives! So when you feel like you are overlooked and undervalued, realize that God is doing a work in you that no one sees. But when the time is right, He will establish you as a faithful child of God!
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast” (1 Peter 5.10 NIV).
